Spent the day at the zoo not seeing many animals. However a silverback gorilla semi half heartedly pounded on the glass, so that was exciting. They are big!! Overall a good day, but the 2 and 5 year olds held out better than my wife and I. We figured 2 hours and that would be it. I think we were there for 4 and 1/2 hours word.

Our State tournament happened this weekend. The HS I used to asst coach at had 9 guys and 1 gal that went. All lost two, one made it to the semis and then lost the semis and lost his next two matches pretty badly. He did real well to get to the semis, and then tanked. Had a great weekend. It snowed a little on Friday, just a dusting . My wife and I went to Ballard (a neighborhood in north Seattle) and that was fun. had a great weekend. Congrats on the 36 lber. going up a weight class and an age group is a lot harder at 36 than at 176, not that I would know. I wrestled at 115 my senior year word.

We have a basement workout room. Universal gym, squat station, treadmill (not used much) and exercise bike ( used everyday). We do have a rowing machine that would be a good work out, but my shoulders are no good right now and I don’t see that helping at this time. But maybe when they get fixed I can do that word.

My son got influenza A which is even worse. My wife has been down for a good 4 days, with 3 more not feeling well. Not sure about today.

Earlier this week it warmed up melted snow and then froze. I slid down to the main road, that was scary. But that is mostly clear now. They have either closed school or started 2 hours late every day this week except today. We have bird netting over our blueberries and that has helped a lot. Seems to deter the deer as well. We got snow, schools are on a 2 hour late schedule. I live on a pretty steep hill with a steep driveway. I may work from home today, may go in, not sure. My tires are sport tires so they don’t do well on ice and slush. But it was sure…[Read more]

Our local mountain pass is getting 2 feet of snow over today and tomorrow, which means it is raining here ha ha. We are slated to get snow this weekend, but who knows. Lows going into the low 20s next week. It’s been cold and gonna be cold again. Highs will be above freezing, some just barely. So colder than usual for us.

Getting cold here as well. Next 6 days (including this morning) will be lows below freezing. Not all that cold but a little. I think it gets to 27 at the coldest. My son is a salt spreader and is busy the next week word.

Yes, there is a lot of walking going on there for sure. It is a half a day journey from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and almost that much to get to the Jefferson Memorial from there. Yes, that is our plan. We have an airbnb chosen right along the metro, it is in north DC. He just needs to confirm that this is a thing we can do. The goal is to visit him and his girlfriend. And see DC word.

We are planning to visit them in DC in April. We will be using the subway almost exclusively to get around. Should be a good visit and hopefully warmer word.
