yes, the surgery went well, she is now almost 2 weeks. Her doc said she has no restrictions, the occcupational therapy lady said 3 weeks more of light duty if she doesn’t want months of trouble. So I will have to keep her down. But she is doing most things now.

Same here, temps are going down steadily. Expecting rain the next two days. Looking like I will retire end of Nov. So I’m working towards that. My wife has surgery on both hands tomorrow so I am taking a week off, maybe two while she recovers. Lots of time to work out the retirement.

Well, my friend pulled out a bunch of fuel out of the tank and it had separated. The carb was all gobbed up. I guess our gas is pretty old so I need to get new gas. Anyway, the mower is now running so that is good.

Yes, getting that done is always a relief. We got our asphalt driveway seal coated so that is something we don’t have to worry about. Next summer I get to install new decking, probably composite. My folks went back to Huntsville to visit and they drove to Atlanta and went through a town with a local burger joint that you could get burgers rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, well done and Shermanized. That cracked me up when they told me that.

I just talked with a guy that took 2 years to redo his deck in composite. It looks great. I will most likely be doing that next summer here. That will be a big job I think.

Well, Mobile is right on the gulf so there is humidity there galore. Yeah I bet that was miserable. It was pretty tough in northern TN though. But I’d have to agree that Southern AL would be worse. FL would also be worse. But the winter months are so much nicer. Hopefully that stands up.

My Dad was president of his HOA for older folks (retirement community). The building was built with siding that absorbed water, here in Seattle. Air Quality around here is 119, not very good. It was 177 a few days ago. It is quite hazy out and we cannot see the mountains anymore. Fishing near a beach is good just in case of boredom for sure. Housing in TN seems to be pretty good. WA is slowing down as there is an exodus similar to NYC. They just passed $9B of new taxes last year and need more and more. They just passed an income tax on earners of a million or more. That is unconstitutional per WA Constitution.…[Read more]
