Was there a holiday I missed ?

I favored soda steam root beer. Wifey liked lemon and orange. I never unpacked it since the move. I totally forgot about.

Soda stream works well, just need to find good flavor syrup.

Initially predicted 1″, then up’d it to 6″ yesterday AM. We got 2″ and it’s melting already.

Not gonna see 50’s for a while. Guessers predicted rain, we got 1″ of snow. Now they are predicting 2 more days of snow over the next week. Looks like Puxatauny Phil got it wrong.

Looks like the bookies underestimated the Chiefs and ended up taking a big hit. The early line was for the Niners -4.5 and it dropped to -1.5 by game time which means the bulk of the money was put on the Chiefs. Coaches have 50 odd egos to deal with. Kelce has one of the bigger ones on the field and in one respect he’s earned it. Few know what he actually said, but by Reid’s reaction he may well have agreed with him. Reid just let him rant, probably because he wasn’t on the field for that play.

Great competitive game last night. Niners should have won but for that missed PAT.

Would love to and the grands would love it but I’m maxed out on impermeable lot space and can’t even build shed. The town caps us at 35% and we’re at 35% right now due so much paver coverage. COVID is gone, wifey finally tested negative. I’m off the sofa. Never got it from her but she made me get the latest vax PLUS the flu vax at the same time. Combined, the two knocked me down for a couple of days. I couldn’t pick up a screwdriver.

Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this AM. that means winter is essentially over.

He saw his shadow last year which meant we were supposed to have 6 more weeks of winter. We didn’t.

Been over a week now and wifey still tests pos. She feels great, no signs of ant virus, ‘cept the pos test.

Go LED recessed. 12- 4″ or 6″ wafer thin for 60-70 on Amazon. Easy to install, just clip them onto sheet rock or the drop in panels. Adjustable white color.

Benn finishing the last bedroom and attic closets all while catering the sick wifey. Looks like she turned the corner this AM and got her voice back. Wifey down with COVID. Symptoms started last Thursday while she was staying with the daughter and new granddaughter. She tested pos on Sat. Bad sore throat but nothing else. That’s nightly event. They taste everything. I have to cage my vegetable garden otherwise they’ll pull the plantings out of the ground and eat everything but the dirty roots.

3rd week in Jan is always the coldest. We’re over the hump after 5 days of frigid weather. We have some rain in the forecast for the end of the week, but with it comes temps near 60 I’ll take it. Those guessers are telling me highs no lower the 44 and no snow for the next 10 days.

4 grands enjoyed their first wrestling tournament today. It was a round robin, 5 kids to a group. They did okay, 2 2nds and 2 3rds. It was a long day for sure but typical of a junior wresting tournament.
