Daughter and family back again as the eldest son continues his sailing club and the next 2 go to camp.

Daughter and fam gone. Finally time to relax.

So far so good. As they older they calm down…sorta.

Oldest daughter is coming to stay for the week while her husband travels for business. With her come the 5 kids. This going to be more than the house.

Now they are saying high chance the 90s could go another 10 days. If so, watering is losing battle.

Broke out the lawn sprinkler last night. The sandy soil out here dries out quickly. The drought resistant seed I’ve been using has been great. It’s the rest of the lawn that’s got a hint of brow in it. No rain in the 14 day forecast.

96F roared in yesterday. More of the same today, tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. Possibly piercing 100 later in the week.

You may need to weight 2 blades

If been laying around for a while, the blades may have warped. Do you still have the old fan ?

H D and Lowes has both. Thin peelable tape to attach to the top of the blades. The trick is finding the right amount and which blade to weight.

First 90’s of the year headed this way with T storms mixed in. It’s always enjoyable taking a natural outdoor shower.

You can add it any time. It is wired inside the base of the fan. It will control the lights too if you have them.

I’d rather be going out too than spending the fussing with a ceiling fan. Get the remote adapter if it doesn’t come with one.

Not much rain in the last 10 days and the lawn is taking a beating from the dry 80s heat. Little league ends this weekend. 3 of the boys and Grace, the eldest GD, were picked for traveling teams. That extends the season through July.

Maybe now, maybe not much longer. A red fox trolled through the yard early this AM. I suspect it was a momma hunting down food for her kits. A neighbor down the street was asking how to rid a group of foxes from under her shed. I told they will go in due time, but keep an eye out for them. She came by to feed the little one last night. She removed the grass over the hole and dangled herself over the hole. We could see the little one suckling on her off its back. When she was done, she started licking it then recovered the hole and hopped away.
