The last 3 I’ve bought were year old low mileage mfg certified since they come with warranties that are better and last longer than those for new. GM has a website listing all of their employee driven test vehicles around the country and will ship to the local dealer at no charge. All are previous year models with under 5000 miles and discounted 25-30%. Buyer retains the right of refusal if you don’t want it once you see it. My last was a Colorado P/U with a new MSRP over 43K snagged for 31K with 4500 miles. The local dealer through in an oil change. They shipped it from Texas to NJ in 3 days, no charge. 2 year bumper to bumper warranty and 5 years on the power train. Also, the local dealer handles the sale so you can trade your old one in if you so choose.

That is a hell of a deal. Had no idea of anything like that.
Have a fantastic day word!January 20, 2023 at 1:36 pm #969mspartParticipantThat is a great deal. How did you find out about this? Personally I go for used cars that are under 10k. Mine was 13k which I struggled with. My wife convinced me. Still have a few years of payments on it word.

Weather guessers are predicting the first big snowstorm for next weekend. Presumably, they will be wrong, again.

Got a new car because it was a better deal and less expensive than anything used for what I was looking for. Looked around for about 6 months. Used auto market has been ridiculous.
90% chance of snow tonight. 1-3 inches. Kids tournament tomorrow.
Have a sensational day word!January 22, 2023 at 6:37 pm #975RYouParticipantSnow bomb headed east but we should be outside the freezing zone and it will be rain.
Used prices are coming back down. At the height, my daughter sold her Explorer for $1000 more than she paid and after putting 30000 miles on it.
January 22, 2023 at 9:00 pm #986ACGunsParticipantNot quite a snow bomb. We got about 3 inches. Little bit cooler this week.
Never got a good offer on my used Camry. It did have 250,000 miles. Got the new one a couple thousand cheaper than used ones with 40-50k miles.
Crazy word.January 23, 2023 at 7:39 am #994RYouParticipantRain, nuttin’ but rain

No rain. Average temps. Nothing to report.
Kids tournament went well.
JUCO men’s team upset the #3 ranked team. #1 JUCO women beat the #3. Last home dual for both Wednesday night.
Have a marvelous day word!January 23, 2023 at 4:43 pm #996mspartParticipantSub freezing temps are coming this weekend. Low of 20 week from Wed. Gotta make sure the animals have liquid water. Solid water doesn’t seem to do them much good word.

January 24, 2023 at 7:24 am #997RYouParticipantBottoming out in the low 30’s in the AM, 40’s in the PM. Despite being a mild winter, I’m still paying a ton more for heat than last year.
January 24, 2023 at 12:26 pm #998ACGunsParticipantGooooooooooooooooood morning RYou and everybody!!!!!!!!!!!
Guessers here say back down to zero or below Sunday. Heat bills have been lower than the old house. Big plus.
Have a terrific day word!January 24, 2023 at 2:03 pm #999mspartParticipantWe have hot water in the tiny house again. Everyone is happy word.

About an inch of snow. Getting colder. Still have hot water.
Have a wonderful day word!January 25, 2023 at 9:07 am #1001RYouParticipantHave plenty of hot water except if someone turns on a faucet, then you get either scalded or frozen. Been installing pressure balancing valves in the new baths.
