That’s a busy retirement for sure. I had to not do the rear brakes on my wife’s minivan because we had grand chitlins over. They were fine but went shooting with my son instead at my wife’s insistence. I’ll get to her brakes later this week word.

    Gooooooooooood morning everybody!!!!!!!!!!!
Grands were away at ball tournaments over the weekend. We didn’t go so I had to help the neighbor test his boat to see if it would hold 9 bass and 25 crappie. Victory.
    Have a terrific day word!

We have a neat skeet course over here. It’s set up like an 18 hole golf course. Each range offers different tosses to test your skill including one that rolls the targets mimicking rabbit / fox runs. You even ride golf carts to move through the course. It’s quite popular and usually you need to schedule your round a month in advance.

Skeet is hard. I tried it as a teen and went 0 or 1 for 25. Moved way faster than I imagined. I do very well at Trap though word.

Blasted by wildfire smoke from Ontario yesterday. The entire province must be burning. The sun was a orange ball of fire in the sky. It was like a dense fog; you couldn’t see beyond 500 feet. Little league playoff games cancelled till Friday. Hopefully the wind will change and blow it out to sea.

Yeah, we’ve had that with BC fires the last few years, not this year though. Perhaps they need to clean their forests better.

On another note, I was able to successfully change the rear brakes on my wife’s car. Total brake replacement, caliper, rotor, carrier, and pads. Real tough due to the emergency brake cable. That is a real pain word.

Yup, that one rear brake takes more time than the other 3 combined.

Not totally out. Will still do motor and trans oil, and brakes. Oh, and periodically remove the check engine because the idiot at the gas station didn’t replace the cap properly and there’s a pressure leak. Yes, we still have gas jockeys here in N J. $100 fine if you’re caught removing the pump handle because the jockey is 2 islands away and you don’t want to wait any longer. Try starting the pump yourself and the jockey pulls the handle, and your credit card and boots you out.

Granddaughter went 3 for 3 in her championship game, but they still lost 11-4. The champs were great in the field, rarely mishandled the ball and the throws to first we on target.

$100 fine? That seems nuts. We have one station that still has a full service lane. I can’t think of anywhere else within a hundred mile radius that isn’t self serve.
    Have a great day word!

Oregon is full service by law. However they just passed a law a few years ago that places that are way out there can be self serve. So the eastern part of the state is self serve as far as I know. Portland and places south of there are still full serve word.
