That’s nightly event. They taste everything. I have to cage my vegetable garden otherwise they’ll pull the plantings out of the ground and eat everything but the dirty roots.

Have a great night word!Wifey down with COVID. Symptoms started last Thursday while she was staying with the daughter and new granddaughter. She tested pos on Sat. Bad sore throat but nothing else. She’s been a recluse in the bedroom which is on a separate heat zone from the den I’m sleeping in. So far no symptoms for me (knock knock). None in the daughter’s fam have had symptoms but they’ve had COVID 3 times already due to the grands being school age., last being just before Christmas. It’s her first experience with the virus. WE think she picked it up at that wrestling meet we went to the Sunday prior. It was a packed house standing shoulder to shoulder with others mat side.

Benn finishing the last bedroom and attic closets all while catering the sick wifey. Looks like she turned the corner this AM and got her voice back. Need to replace two windows, but that will have to wait till spring. We’ve 8 days of gloom and rain, low 40ws. It really is depressing weather. At least, no snow.
We will be doing a little remodeling in the basement. Not much but lighting and put in weight stuff so everyone can work out. We are all gonna be lean mean fighting machines word.

Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this AM. that means winter is essentially over.
He saw his shadow last year which meant we were supposed to have 6 more weeks of winter. We didn’t.
Been over a week now and wifey still tests pos. She feels great, no signs of ant virus, ‘cept the pos test.

Traveled around the Midwest for work. Had a bout of food poisoning in South Dakota, knocked me down several days. Not a highly recommended weight loss plan. Wifey was with me. She wasn’t impressed that I got sick on her “vacation”.
Keep all of the Covid out on the edges. Don’t cross any mountains or rivers.

Should be getting the lights here in the next few days. Then I get to put my electrician’s hat on and get shocked a few times and rewire the basement. Lights, plugs, all after she had the ceiling rafters painted black so I can see up there even more clearly word.

COVID is gone, wifey finally tested negative. I’m off the sofa. Never got it from her but she made me get the latest vax PLUS the flu vax at the same time. Combined, the two knocked me down for a couple of days. I couldn’t pick up a screwdriver.
Kiddos had their 2nd wrestling tournament on Sunday. 1 first, 2 2nds and a 3rd. #2 grand keeps stopping the action to look up at his dad/coach, gives up an escape, then a takedown, then he reverses the other and we start the circle all over again. A couple times he was riding and just stood up and let the kid go like he was at practice. He’ll figure it soon enough. No. 1 bulldozed a double to the kids back, crawled up for a half and 8 second pin in the final. #3 scrambled for the TD at the opening and landed funny on his wrist and ID’d out of the final. He’s OK just jammed his wrist, not even a sprain. He wasn’t happy the ref stopped the bout.
I just finished the last bedroom and I’m trying to figure out what to do now.
