4 x 2 AA and he wrestled the same in every bout, wrestling not to lose and not to win.

April 1, 2024 at 12:49 pm #2432mspartParticipantHappy Easter Ya’ll. A little late I know but I got busy late last week and didn’t get there. Weather here will be in the 60’s today so they say word.

April 3, 2024 at 12:12 pm #2434mspartParticipantI replaced my wife’s EGR valve in her car. It is a V6 transverse engine with the EGR in the back. Horrible placement. She was complaining of exhaust fumes and very low mileage. Then the check engine light came on. So it was a code for EGR valve. So I spent probably 3 hours changing that out. Horrible job. But she reports the mileage is way up and no fumes. So it was time well spent fixing it. I was really sore afterwards and the next day. But it was worth it. Had a great Easter, sore but great word.

April 3, 2024 at 1:20 pm #2435RYouParticipantIt’s amazing how they easily find ways to hide fittings with common failure rates. I threw a code for an emissions valve. It was a simple replacement on top and alongside the valve cover. Had it done in 15 minutes. Check engine light cleared. 2 days later It’s throwing the same code. I pulled the new valve and reinstalled it. 2 days later check engine light is back on. I returned the valve to the parts store and traded for a new pone. Installed. 2 days later it throws the same code again. So I spent the evening researching the problem valve. It seems there are 2 other emissions vales that will throw an identical code so you are really guessing which one failed. #3 sits on top of the gas tank which must be dropped to access it. No way no how am I attempting that one. #2 sits in a plastic box below the undercarriage. I even found the procedure on Youtube. Aside from working on your back, you have to disconnect 3 emissions sensor wires all having pinch clamp fittings. the open the box, reach in and disconnect the valve and replace it with zero visibility. I spent 15 minutes trying to disconnect the wire plug and another 45 trying to install the replacement. All the while, I’m saying …this better work, this better work.

4 days 4″ of rain, nothing heavy just constant. Finally, a sunny morning with 60’s coming next week.
April 5, 2024 at 11:20 am #2439mspartParticipantHere comes the sun doo doo doo doo,
Here comes the sun and I say,
It’s alright.Unfortunately no sun here. Overcast skies and rain. Congrats on the second valve working. That is always a relief. So far so good for my wife’s car word.

April 8, 2024 at 9:02 pm #2440RYouParticipant90 % eclipse here. It got s little darker and had an eerie sense about it. Clouds rolled in about 5 minutes after peak. The brightness of the sun overshadowed the moon’s visibility even when it covered 90% of the sun. Turned out to be a nothing burger.
Son was in upstate NY. It got quite dark up there just as expected.
April 12, 2024 at 9:53 am #2442RYouParticipant60’s and nosing about 70 all next week.
