All of Western Washington is under flood watch. The Amtrak train from Seattle to Portland has been cancelled due to the effects of all the water. We have a creek going through our yard which is essentially mountain drainage. It was rolling hard last night and plugged the pipe and flooded my neighbor’s garage. Very bad word.

Furnace is in and working!! We had 2.1 inches of rain the last 24 hours and they are expecting this Pineapple Express to dump another 1.5 in the next 24 hours. That’s almost 10% of our annual rainfall. Rivers are at flood stage here and the snow that was in the mountains has melted and feeding the floods word.

They are changing out the furnace right as I type word.

Oh, I got the furnace running. The electrical switch that provides electrical control power to the gas furnace was broken. I replaced it and it is working fine. It is actually warm in the house now word.

My wife and kids have been complaining about a natural gas smell around the house. I had smelled that too from the furnace exhaust. So they complained enough that I finally called our heater guy to tell me why the furnace is not completely burning the gas. Yes, that may be true. Didn’t gain any weight on that trip. I have since gained some back. Yeah, we did a fair amount of walking. In Rome we did take a taxi a few times. Doing so actually made my wife fear for her life. I actually enjoyed the crazy driving as long as I wasn’t doing the driving word.

September is a good time for Italy. Crowds are down, the Aug vacationers from Europe and US are gone mostly. However, if you want to see something, I would suggest getting tickets for it ahead of time.

Had to change the rear brake caliper on my wife’s van. I did this a few months ago and she lost fluid. Turns out it was leaking pretty heavily. So I ordered a new part and replaced it yesterday.
