Not much rain in the last 10 days and the lawn is taking a beating from the dry 80s heat. Little league ends this weekend. 3 of the boys and Grace, the eldest GD, were picked for traveling teams. That extends the season through July.

Maybe now, maybe not much longer. A red fox trolled through the yard early this AM. I suspect it was a momma hunting down food for her kits. A neighbor down the street was asking how to rid a group of foxes from under her shed. I told they will go in due time, but keep an eye out for them. She came by to feed the little one last night. She removed the grass over the hole and dangled herself over the hole. We could see the little one suckling on her off its back. When she was done, she started licking it then recovered the hole and hopped away.

Yeah, you’re right. As bad as losing some sight is, worse case is far grimmer. Aside from some spot showers which do benefit the grass, the weather has been incredible. Blue skies and sunshine. Then a dark cloud rolls in and drops 1/4″ and rolls on by.

Things got really busy. Last window finally arrived and rushed to get it in then re – side the exterior wall and interior trim before the weekend. No.1 son and family tell us they are arriving Friday night and hanging till Monday. Tuesday, wifey tell me she wants to go shrub shopping, so I end up spending the afternoon planting.

Saw the sun play peekaboo this morning, rain this afternoon.

It’s odd how the iphone filters nighttime pics. Still no aurora, or mopon or stars over here. Just clouds and rain.

No such luck over here. Too far south and too many lights. 70 years, we’ve experienced a glimmer of the aurora once.

All episodes considered that’s a pretty speedy return. I get it though. I go nuts sitting around the house so I probably try to get back to normal routine quickly too.

My mom had a stroke that contorted the left side of her face. and impacted her speech. It took a few months, but the muscles relaxed, and she regained her speech. It may take a while, even months so keep optimistic.

Keep the faith the eye will recover. Doc gave me a 20% chance of full recovery. I’m not 100% from where i was but it’s not real noticeable. The grands called me pop pop the pirate. It was 4-5 months before I was sure of the recovery.
