Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this AM. that means winter is essentially over.

He saw his shadow last year which meant we were supposed to have 6 more weeks of winter. We didn’t.

Been over a week now and wifey still tests pos. She feels great, no signs of ant virus, ‘cept the pos test.

Go LED recessed. 12- 4″ or 6″ wafer thin for 60-70 on Amazon. Easy to install, just clip them onto sheet rock or the drop in panels. Adjustable white color.

Benn finishing the last bedroom and attic closets all while catering the sick wifey. Looks like she turned the corner this AM and got her voice back. Need to replace two windows, but that will have to wait till spring. We’ve 8 days of gloom and rain, low 40ws. It really is depressing weather. At least, no snow.

Wifey down with COVID. Symptoms started last Thursday while she was staying with the daughter and new granddaughter. She tested pos on Sat. Bad sore throat but nothing else. That’s nightly event. They taste everything. I have to cage my vegetable garden otherwise they’ll pull the plantings out of the ground and eat everything but the dirty roots.

3rd week in Jan is always the coldest. We’re over the hump after 5 days of frigid weather. We have some rain in the forecast for the end of the week, but with it comes temps near 60 I’ll take it. Those guessers are telling me highs no lower the 44 and no snow for the next 10 days.

4 grands enjoyed their first wrestling tournament today. It was a round robin, 5 kids to a group. They did okay, 2 2nds and 2 3rds. It was a long day for sure but typical of a junior wresting tournament.

Thanks all. She’s a real cutey. She’s developing some jaundice and bilirubin is on the high side of normal. It was up yesterday. In for another this AM and if hits 20 they’ll admit her for a few days under a sun lamp. Geez, she’s already into the tanning thing.

Got our first snow fall in 2 years, 3.5 inches. With it came our 11th grand kid, Annabelle Rose at a hefty 7 lbs 9 ozs, 20.5 inches. Mom and dad hit hospital just before the snow started.

Another southern squall is moving in tonight bring 55F and 2-3 In of rain, no snow, no sleet, no sunshine.

No rain, no snow, just gloomy 50’s

3 days of mid 50’s but 3″ of rain too. Weekend snow missed us by 5 miles. Kids up north got 6″ GKs had fun sledding on the old school hill.

Bathroom finished. Short break, then into the last bedroom. Wifey defines how short “short” will be.

Crazy week with grands off from school. Caught the second half of Rutgers bowl win but that’s been it for football.

NIL and the portal are killing the bowl match ups. Far too many starting from the 2nd and 3rd teams. NCAA has to keep the portal closed until after the playoffs.

Daughters’ fam coming down to stay for a couple days. Fam had the flu over Xmas and missed the festivities.

That earthworm evacuation happened out here a few years back but it was November during a heavy rain. They were all over the streets and sidewalks.
