About .8″ of rain and 56 degrees today. Earthworms on the wet pavement. Don’t remember seeing earthworms 3 days before Christmas at any point in my life.

That earthworm evacuation happened out here a few years back but it was November during a heavy rain. They were all over the streets and sidewalks. We couldn’t figure out why they decided to rise or where they were headed. They had to climb up and down a curb to get to the street which had to be intentional. The birds that were still around were having a feast.

Temp dropped, worms are frozen on the street now. Couple of Christmas celebrations down, one more to go today. Then putting grands presents together at their house and a good nap.

NIL and the portal are killing the bowl match ups. Far too many starting from the 2nd and 3rd teams. NCAA has to keep the portal closed until after the playoffs.

Surely the NCAA will see the issues and revamp the system in 15-20 years. Or tweak it every year making it worse.
