Crazy week, 2 families were in town, 6 GKs. GKs were a handful all week, then the 2 sons and daughter in laws at night. Out here we have a bulk trash day once per month. Anything can go on the curb and the town picks it up. It’s amazing what people toss. Pickup a girls, 1968 Schwinn Stingray bike last fall. Hardly any rust. It must have been put at the curb with a ton of other junk just before I drove by.

trash guys are 2 days late. The piles on the street keep building up.

The storms out here have flattened some trees but not the corn.

No rest, the boys are gone but daughter returns with her 4 so the eldest can take his sailing lessons. 2 others go to a local day camp. We get to watch no. 4.

2f nights ago a couple of thunderstorms with 1 housing a small tornado blew the area where my sons live. They were out power and decided to visit. All of a sudden the house jumped from 8 to 16. Power is back but they decided to stay through the 4th. The wonder of the invention of air beds.

Daughter’s family is here through the 4th. 4 GKs 15 mos to 7. She and her hub just informed us #5 is enroute and due in first week of January. Craziness, but grilling every night. She arrived Wednesday, the hub finally got snipped same day.

On June 20, those guessers forecast 11 days of rain. 8 days in it rained on 3 days including last night at 0.01 inch. Dew is wetter. Blue sky and sunshine are now predicted through Saturday. That is an accuracy of 3 days out of 11, if you count 0.01 inch.

Started the groundwork for an outside shower. Dug a gray dry well 4 ft deep x 36 in wide for a capacity of + 60 gals with a PVC cylinder with a lid. 6 in stone bottom and sides, 8″ on top. Back in the day, we started at 7:30 and ended at 3:00. Today they start at 8:30 and end at 2:30. 1st week in September through 3rd week of June. The system ended the year a week earlier this year since they didn’t use any snow days.
