reached 99 f yesterday more of the same today.
All in all, still cooler than Florida’s ocean which was +100F a couple of days ago
Hawaii barely got into the 90s. But it was very warm and humid and I was never very cold. We were on the windward (east) side of the island which gets all the rain and winds. Very lush and beautiful but not the desert we lived in for 4 years on the leeward side. My wife and I agreed 1 week is not enough. Perhaps 10 days or 2 weeks would be good word.

By the way, last time we were in Hawaii, didn’t see solar panels. This time, many houses had solar panels. Makes sense really. They have windmills on Oahu in the north part. Solar could be a big source of power for many on the island. Doesn’t make much sense here in Seattle. We get very little direct sun word.

We’ve been there twice. The 12 hour flight or 14+ with a connection is a deterrent. We definitely need 14 days since we lose 2 flying and the return is always a redeye. Combine the time difference and a redeye, and you’re pretty much a basket case the next 2 days.

No grandkids over the weekend. They took off on vacation. Caught up on some naps.

Heavy rain came through yesterday dropping up to 7″. Needed rain but it was a bit excessive.
