5 days of blue sky and sunshine will give way to clouds, but no rain.

Hah, my wife used to hide chocolates all over the place. Not bags, the individual pieces. Now she’s overt, everything is in a jar. She has a very large sweet tooth. Everything from the Kisses to the mini bars I always have some kind of Swiss chocolate for her birthday.

I don’t know, maybe that cracked nose has something to do with the sense of smell.

When we were kids we would play football at a friend’s house with a big back yard. Everyone was decked out shoulder pads and helmets. Full blown tackle. We were 9 or 10. When the kids were babes, I would gag if not lose when changing diapers. Sense of smell is too strong, stomach is too weak. I never would have made it to the back end of your property. We kept a pail next to the diaper table.

I 5 year old grandson landed a 16″ trout. The 3 year old was overjoyed with his blue gill. All in all a fun day.

Swatted 3 carpenter bees with a PVC pipe trying to nest up in the wood trim and picnic table. Slow flyers that like to hover and are easy to pick off with a bat. Take3s me back to swatting lightning bugs as a kid. It was always good batting practice.

When those guessers say 7 days of 70s, sunshine and no rain, you know they’re wrong.

Gk’s are on 5 little league teams in 5 different leagues that will play 6 days a week. Saturday games will run from 10 AM to 8:30 PM in 3 different towns excluding our softballer that is on a county traveling team that plays the Saturday night games all over the…[Read more]

Great day at #2 son’s house. Big crowd, lotsa food, from our side and her family. Had to get up at 2 to start smoking and ham. Was great but would have been less painful buying one. Next time I’ll smoke it the night prior.

High today 75 Heavy rain coming from the south Sneaking in a little yard work before it hits.

High tomorrow 49 Winds from the north push the rain back south. Back to working inside.

That’s extreme weather.

So the news folks around here like having tornados, as they call them. Winds never exceeded 60 mph. Fujita scale was 0. Micro bursts, still they caused enough damage to knock out power for 400,000. Almost all had power back in less than 24 hours.
Hail was pea size and not big enough to damage cars. Mild weather ahead.

I guess it blew through here last night. Had our first tornado warning complete with the weird siren. Mother nature put on one heck of a lightning show. They advised of 60 MPH wind, it never developed here, but it looks like 2 may have touched down 10 miles from here. Another southern blow is bringing rain and 70F to town. No work outside today.

32F this AM May be (hopefully) the last we see of freezing temps.

Been stuck inside redoing a bed and bath. Need some time and nice weather to clean up outside.
