Swatted 3 carpenter bees with a PVC pipe trying to nest up in the wood trim and picnic table. Slow flyers that like to hover and are easy to pick off with a bat. Take3s me back to swatting lightning bugs as a kid. It was always good batting practice.

When we lived in MN, we had a hornet nest in the basement. The hole was right by the door. My son would sit down right where they would come out and just swat them. He was unafraid. They never stung him so he must have gotten them all as they came out or went in word.

Blue sky and 80’s back to back. #2 is bringing the boys down for a little trout fishing this AM.

I 5 year old grandson landed a 16″ trout. The 3 year old was overjoyed with his blue gill. All in all a fun day.
Back to highs in the 60’s and the renovation.

16″ trout is a trophy. Bluegills are fun to catch as well. I did something I think you guys didn’t. On Saturday, my wife took out the composting toilet she has for the preschool. Of course, the kids don’t use it properly and I got to dump it. Fortunately, we have enough property way out there to do that. Hooooooooo! – did it smell so ripe. Be happy you were not a part of such. If you have done something like that, you know what I’m talking about word. 🙂

When the kids were babes, I would gag if not lose when changing diapers. Sense of smell is too strong, stomach is too weak. I never would have made it to the back end of your property. We kept a pail next to the diaper table.
