All cleaned up. Held the family Oktoberfest on Sunday. Schnitzel, brats, spaetzle, the works. Oh and plenty of bier.

Holding off on the reseeding until the heat cools down. Watering evaporates within hours.

GKs back to school, finally a week of peace and quiet. Gotta get back to work, 3 rooms to go, but only after rehabbing some grass I ignored all summer. Not enough rain and I didn’t water.

high 80’s no rain ahead

I been installing Toto toilets that come with a funky plastic trap separate from the bottom which sets on top of it. It uses a rubber gasket to seal, wax ring is noy needed.

Just found out New York offers grants of up to $125,000 to build a tiny house on your land, including vacant land. Income and permit requirements are the only restrictions. They don’t up your property taxes either. Cali and Vermont have similar grants.

#2 son and fam in for the weekend.

#1 grandson finished 5th in a sailing regatta with 53 boats. Sailors were age 8 to 11. He’s 8 and sharp with the tacking.

Still better than getting shingled.

6 grandkids for the weekend. The morning after is about as bad as a redeye flight.

We’ve been there twice. The 12 hour flight or 14+ with a connection is a deterrent. We definitely need 14 days since we lose 2 flying and the return is always a redeye. Combine the time difference and a redeye, and you’re pretty much a basket case the next 2 days.
