Wow. I’ve never seen anything like that. That’s incredible. I guess something you had to live through to actually understand it.

NCAAs are mostly going along but there are some upsets. One #2 lost before the quarter finals. All the #1s are on schedule. But there is one guy that was seeded #27 that is in the quarters. So that’s…[Read more]

Yeah, been there, done that. I never had that issue in MN. The snow was dry and they cleared it quickly. In Seattle, the snow is wet and turns to icy slush when a car runs over it. Traction is zero. I’ve had bad commutes before. I’ve had times I couldn’t get up the hill to get to my driveway. Had to abandon the car on the main road.…[Read more]

I do ok at home but I do like the office. The show is very sparse now mostly on the ground. The hard surfaces are all pretty much clear now. I did a lot of shoveling, I think that warmed up the asphalt and melted the snow quicker. So getting off my hill is doable. I have new tires on my car, the first set was a sport set and had terrible…[Read more]

I live on a hill and it is snowing now. and accumulating. I’m not driving today, the driveway is steep and getting to the main road is even steeper. I have a Dr appointment I am canceling right now. This kind of snow is super slippery and my car is not really good in snow. We lost power for a few seconds a couple of times last night and…[Read more]

Well, the stock market is tanking and tanking my 401k with it. I’m concerned that this war is not going to be a short war and my savings will get hurt. I have an option to put it all in a “savings account” that gets minimal gain, but does not lose. I’m thinking of doing that right now until this stuff stops.

I read that WA is sending rainy…[Read more]

Wet and rainy here now. Dark too. After Saturday, I think it starts to warm up so that will be nice.

Actually we are pretty lucky that we have the weather guessers. Back in the day, they just got what they got. Now at least we usually have a little warning. Hawaii is gonna be getting it with the Kona winds coming. That’s a reversal…[Read more]

133 will be loaded at NCAAs for sure.

Was supposed to rain all week. We got hail yesterday and right now it is dry and chilly, 34F.

I think you called the B1Gs. PSU was incredible and Iowa embarrassed. Very embarrassed. Maybe its time for more fun at Iowa. JAX sailed through big 12s easily as a kid just out of HS. He’s a generational talent and he’s just getting started.

Yeah, that is crazy, PSU having so many #1 seeds. That is some team Cael has assembled every year for years. I don’t hate Cael, but I would like to see some other teams do really really well and those PSU wrestlers not be champions. That would be epic. I think Cael and his staff are the best there has ever been. Sure they get great…[Read more]

Well, the forecast changed and no snow anymore. No freezing temps. My son runs a snow plow salt parking lot business (among other things) and he hasn’t had much work this year. They got me all excited with some snow. Alas….

We will be getting colder end of next week with 4-7 inches of snow in my neighborhood. We haven’t had snow yet so this will be the first for us. The ski areas are finally getting dumped on. Good news for them.

Well, if you decided to travel to see them, I honestly don’t think you will be disappointed. They really surprised me. Live music is great, even bluegrass. The opening band was good even. But they were blown completely away by these pros.

I think you are spot on. Live the sound is way different. The sound was great. The warm up band had a bass drum that the guitarist would pound on for a beat. But the Stringdusters don’t do that and it was not missed live. It was really just one of the best concerts I’ve been to. I highly recommend it and I really don’t listen to…[Read more]

Sedona is nice for sure. Been there once. Yeah, Phoenix is usually warm, but sometimes it is not.

Just got back from Boise where I was visiting my brother. I went because he had been talking up a band he had seen a number of times and said they are great. So I went to see them because they were not coming to Seattle. The Infamous…[Read more]

Weather seems crazy on the east coast. Weather here is pretty tame. I was in Phoenix last week soaking up some warmth. It was colder there for us but 20 degrees warmer than here.

My daughter came over and helped (actually did) cleanout the shed. We got rid of a ton of stuff. Some was sad like my father’s table saw that he built in…[Read more]

Sounds like a great weekend! I don’t have anything that exciting going on. We have little grandkids, 6 and 3. 6 year old is in dance and gymnastics. The 3 year old loves trucks, trailers, cars, trains. So that’s pretty much what we do when he comes over. My son and his wife live about 10 minutes away with very bad traffic. So we see…[Read more]

Yeah that is ND stuff. I remember in MN we had a day where I watched the thermometer drop 40 degrees in a few hours. I could literally watch the needle move. It was crazy.

Seahawks won!! It was quite the game for the Hawks. Patriots had a hard time. We are about to get a millionaire’s tax here in WA which will probably mean that the…[Read more]

Well, we have marmots here in WA. They generally live around Mt Rainier. Big animals actually. One was interviewed and asked if he can predict weather by seeing his shadow. He said, and I quote, “Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout willis!! That’s Phil’s gig.” So there you have it. The animals are all in league. Phil has a lock on the gig.…[Read more]

I’m not really an NFL fan. I like college football and follow Bama throughout the season. But Seattle is in it so I’ll jump on the bandwagon.

Yeah 6 more weeks of winter. When doesn’t he see his shadow? How does he tell anyone, “hey, I saw my shadow”? Seems like a funny weather prognosticator. I suppose it brings in the crowds to the…[Read more]

Yeah, I would be blinded if it takes a bit to settle in. I can see right now so I’m good but the thought is there. I’m glad it seems to have worked for your wife. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

SuperBowl is coming and Olympics. I’m going to have to pay for some streaming services so I can watch. Peacock is 10/month. Not sure how…[Read more]
